Esentepe is a small coastal community in the countryside east of the port city of Kyrenia. Esentepe and surrounding towns belong to the region that has come to bloom most among foreign home buyers in recent years. Here you will find the tranquility, the nature, the beaches, the gulf and the cooling Mediterranean breeze.
Compared to Cyprus’s other cities, this region is relatively untouched. Here you literally live in the middle of nature, where the sea meets the mountains, and where the sunsets are intensely red. The bathing beaches are something extra special with wild nature bays strewn along the entire coast.
Here you can discover your own sandy beach or visit any of the public where the sun chair is already waiting. You should just watch out where you put your parasol down, this part of the island also comes with the sea turtle to lay its eggs!
Esentepe is a quiet area that still has life and movement all year round. Many Europeans choose their homes in this area. Esentepe is surrounded by beautiful scenery and fine beaches and offers a wide range of restaurants, bars, shops and all the necessary service. Here you will find entertainment such as golf, hiking trails, water park and more. Esentepe is an area for the whole family and all ages.
Korineum Golf & Beach Resort
Near Esentepe is also North Cyprus’s largest golf club, Korineum Golf & Beach Resort, with an 18-hole championship course in beautiful surroundings. The golf club has several restaurants, tennis club, spa and its own beach, open to the public.
If you like to hike, you should go up to the Femfinger mountains. Here you can breathe in the fresh scent of pine forest while walking on nature trails lined with history and ancient ruins. From the top you have an unbeatable view of the Mediterranean, and clear days even to the Turkish mainland!
Esentepe has plenty of local restaurants and bars. If you take a drive or walk along the coast, you encounter several along the road.
Should you ever crave city life, Kyrenia is only 2.5 km away. If you cross the mountain range and head east, it is also not far to Famagusta, a historic town surrounded by long sunny beaches.
Esentepe is also in the right direction for anyone who wants to visit the National Park area of Karpaz on the eastern tip of Cyprus.
